Weekly Block Diwas: DC Rajouri listens to people’s issues at Badhoon, assures time bound redressal of genuine public concerns

Rajouri: With the primary objective of addressing public grievances effectively and ensure timely redressal, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal on Wednesday held a public outreach camp as a part of Weekly Block Diwas in the Badhoon area of the Dhangri block.
The event served as a platform for residents and their representatives to voice their demands, seeking macadamization of roads, staff augmentation and upgradation of government institutions, redress of water scarcity issues and the improvement of healthcare infrastructure etc.
Specific demands raised were the repair and renovation of panchayat ghar Badhoon, provision of auto service in the area, construction of road from Badhoon Jamia Masjid to Crusher, requirement of 250 KV transformer, repair and renovation of MS Badhoon, dispensary near Primary School, renovation of playground at Padiyar, repair of road from main road to Grif
During the program, government officers also took the opportunity to create awareness among the public about various schemes and programs being implemented by different departments in the district. They encouraged the public to take advantage of these initiatives.
While addressing the event, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the commitment of the District Administration to provide basic amenities at the doorstep of the public. He assured the public that dedicated efforts were being made to fulfill this objective. Recognizing the contributions of all stakeholders in achieving the desired outcomes under different government initiatives, he commended their hard work and encouraged them to continue their efforts for the betterment of the general public.
Furthermore, the Deputy Commissioner also assured the public that their grievances had been duly documented and that the concerned departments would intervene in stages to address genuine concerns. In response to the issue of construction of the road from Badhoon Jamia Masjid to Crusher, he directed the EXEN PWD(R&B) Kalakote to prepare the DPR for the same.
During the event, the Deputy Commissioner issued immediate instructions to the concerned departments to prioritize and resolve the issues highlighted by the public in a time-bound manner. Many issues were resolved on the spot, with the proactive intervention of the officers present.
In conclusion, the Deputy Commissioner stressed the significance of continued progress and cooperation among all stakeholders to ensure improved quality of life for the citizens of the district. The Weekly Block Diwas held in the Badhoon area of the Dhangri block proved to be a resounding success, with numerous public issues discussed and effectively resolved. The initiative received high praise from the public, who appreciated the efforts of the district administration in finding solutions to their concerns.
The Block Diwas has emerged as an exemplary platform, facilitating direct interaction between the general public and the district authorities. It has become a source of immense satisfaction for all involved, as it allows citizens to voice their grievances and witness prompt action being taken to address them. The successful event underscored the proactive approach of the administration to promptly redress public concerns and its unwavering commitment to serving the public.
