Srinagar : Police on Tuesday said that it has arrested the rape accused within hours in North Kashmir’s district Baramulla, after a complaint was filed against the accused person at the police station.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Police said that the Police Station Baramulla received a written complaint from a minor girl (name withheld) who alleged therein that she was abducted by one person namely Mohammad Umar Parray (Venture Driver) S/o Mohammad Amin Parray R/o Parray Mohalla Sangri and raped her at secluded place in Sangri.
Stating that a case under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Baramulla and further investigation was launched into the case, Police in it’s statement said that during investigatio police with the help of technical and human sources traced the accused persons and arrested him within hours after the complaint was received.
In the concluding para of it’s above quoted statement police said that further medico-legal formalities have been conducted and further investigation of the case is in progress.
