Election Management Plan discussed in Kishtwar, Deliberations held on New Zones, Sectors

Kishtwar : District Election Officer, Dr. Devansh Yadav on Tuesday presided over a significant meeting attended by Nodal officers and officials from Election and concerned departments to discuss the District-level Election Management Plan for future elections.
During the meeting, detailed deliberations were held on key aspects including formation of new zones and sectors within the three assembly constituencies. The strategic dialogue aimed at optimizing electoral processes for enhanced representation and efficient administration.
The meeting also engaged in a meticulous analysis of the district-level election management plan, encompassing special provisions for differently-abled voters, security arrangements, transport management, expenditure monitoring, training initiatives and the Media Monitoring Committee, among other critical considerations.
Discussions extended to encompass a range of strategic focus areas, including the status of the employees database designated for deployment during the Municipal Elections, training plans for Returning Officers/Assistant Returning Officers and Polling Staff, procurement status of election materials at the district level, plans for First Level Checking (FLC) of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) for Urban Local Bodies, identification of EVM strong rooms for ULBs separate from M3-EVMs, establishment of distribution and collection centers for polling parties and materials, identification of counting centers, and the establishment of control roo
Dr. Yadav sensitized the officers about their roles and responsibilities in ensuring the successful execution of the electoral process. Stressing the paramount importance of the electoral registration and roll revision process, he urged participants to work diligently within the stipulated time frame to complete the essential tasks.
A collaborative and synchronized approach was emphasized, with Nodal officers directed to coordinate seamlessly with Deputy District Election Officer Kishtwar, Naresh Kumar.
The meeting was attended by designated District Nodal officer, ADC Kishtwar, Inderjeet Singh Parihar, Deputy DEO Naresh Kumar, ACR Varunjeet Singh Charak, Joint Director Planning Mohd Iqbal, SDM Marwah Dr Mohsin Raza, SDM Paddar Arun Kumar Badyal, as well as election officials including ENT Sajad Akhter, among others.
