Kupwara: Vice Chairman, District Development Council (DDC) Kupwara, Haji Farooq Ahmad Mir on Thursday visited various areas of block Wavoora and inaugurated macadamization work on newly constructed Kuligam-Kandhar road besides taking stock of the ongoing developmental works.
The Vice Chairman inaugurated the macadamization work on VKH Kuligam to Ziyarat Khoja Bagh Kandhar road, during which he monitored the work along with the concerned engineers. The road was recently constructed by R&B department under NABARD scheme and involves a Project Cost of Rs.688.94 lakh.
He also paid an inspection to Higher Secondary School Maidanpora and got feedback about the Sports activities and curriculum from the School Principal. DYS&S Officer, Zahoor Ahmad was also present at the occasion.
Haji Farooq inspected Upper Primary School Wani Mohallah Cheepora and took up matter for upgradation of its building with the concerned department.
During the visit, VC took stock of drinking water supply of the people and assured them for getting uninterrupted drinking water facility in coming days under JJM.
Ex. Engineer I&FC along with AEE and JEs were accompanying him.
He also paid a visit to Alama Anwar Shah Sports Stadium Kuligam and discussed for its upgradation with the concerned officials.
