“Meri Maati Mera Desh”: Colourful Cultural Prog organised at HKM GDC B’pora

Bandipora :: As the nation prepares to mark 77th Independence Day, a colourful cultural programme was on Saturday organised under the banner “Mere Maati Mera Desh” at HKM GDC Bandipora.
The program was aimed to provide a pltatform to students to showcase their diverse talents and express their heatfrtfelt love towards the nation.
The event was organized by the College Cultural Committee in collaboration with NSS units of the college.
The programme was attended by the faculty and a large number of students.
The cultural program featured an array of performances that celebrated India’s rich cultural heritage.
A short film on the national movement screened in the auditorium aroused a lot of curiosity about the challenges faced by the heroes of national movement.
Group patriotic song, a duet patriotic song, folk song and Kashmiri Rouff were some of the other major highlights of the cultural program. All the performances were highly appreciated by the audience.
Earlier the program started with a welcome address by the Principal Prof.(Dr.) Masood Ahmad Malik wherein he emphasized on the significance of celebrating such events and their role in inculcating the values of freedom struggle among the young students.
Dr.Sameer shared the responsibility of anchoring the whole event. Prof. Sajad Manzoor along with the NSS Program officers coordinated the whole event.
