DLSA Kulgam organises Spl Lok Adalat

Kulgam: To commemorate 76th year of Independence and mark the celebration of Independence Day, 2023, a Special Lok Adalat was held on Saturday in District Court Complex Kulgam, Munsiff Court Complex Qazigund and Munsiff Court Complex D. H. Pora under the Chairmanship of Mohd Ashraf Bhat Principal District and Session Judge Kulgam and Chairman District Legal Services Authority Kulgam.
Five benches were constituted, 3 at Head quarter & one each at D. H. Pora and Qazigund. Bench No. 1 was Presided by Parvaiz Iqbal Presiding Officer Fast Track Court /NIA Court Kulgam, assisted by Adv. Mohammad Amin Padder ( Bar President Kulgam) and Roshan Ara, Deputy Legal Aid Defence Counsel Kulgam Bench.
No. 2 was Presided by Abdul Qayoom Mir, Chief Judicial Magistrate Kulgam, assisted by Bilal Ahmed, Tehsildar Kulgam and Adv. Aadil Hamid Lone Panel Lawyer DLSA Kulgam.
Bench No. 03 was Presided by Muneer Ahmad Bhat Additional Special Mobile Magistrate /Judicial Magistrate first Class Kulgam, assisted by Assistant Regional Transport Officer Kulgam and Adv. Aaqib Javed.
Bench No. 04 was Presided by Mudasir Bashir Munsiff/Judicial Magistrate First Class D.H.Pora, assisted by Bashir Ul Hassan Sub Divisional Magistrate D.H. Pora and Adv. Rouf Geelani Bar President D.H. Pora and Bench No.05 was Presided by Anjeet Singh Munsiff /Judicial Magistrate First Class Qazigund, assisted by Parvaiz Rahim Sub Divisional Magistrate Dooru/Qazigund and Adv. Sameerul Rashid.
In the said Special Lok Adalat 421 cases related to MACT Cases, Family Disputes, Criminal Compoundable Cases, Revenue cases, Traffic Challans, Bank Cases, Electricity cases, and Water bills were taken up.
Out of which 301 cases were amicably settled. An amount of Rs.4,60,700 was realized in different cases.
