‘Meri Maati, Mera Desh’: DC B’pora flaggs-off Mega Tiranga Rally from Mini Secretariat , Administers Panch Pran Pledge

Bandipora: In continuation to ‘Meri Maati, Mera Desh’ campaign under the aegis of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahaotsav’, a Mega Tiranga Rally was on Friday flagged-off by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad from the premises of Mini Secretariat Bandipora to SK Sports Stadium.
The DC also administered Panch Pran pledge to the participants before flagging off the Rally and laid emphasis on the vision contained in the pledge.
The rally was organised by Youth Services and Sports Department, Education Department, in collaboration with District Administration Bandipora and was attended by all the district and sectoral officers, including Nodal Officer Coordination Mohammad Ashraf Hakak, ADC Bandipora Umar Shafi, besides a galaxy of students.
More than 3000 students, youth volunteers besides the general public actively participated in the Grand Tiranga Rally.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that ‘Tiranga’ is a symbol of national pride for every Indian. To further honor our national flag, a very appreciative campaign ‘Meri Maati, Mera Desh’ under the aegis of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, has been launched.
The DC appreciated the efforts of school children for remaining on the forefront with District Administration in the ‘Meri Maati, Mera Desh’ campaign and also congratulated all the participants and organisers of the campaign across the district.
Similar Tiranga Rallies were held across all the three subdivisions of the district, including Gurez and Sumbal Subdivision, besides other areas of the district, including Tulail, Hajin and Naidkhai.
Tiranga Rallies were also held by Municipal Council Bandipora besides Municipal Committee Sumbal and Municipal Committee Hajin, in which respective presidents of the MCs presided over the rallies.
