Srinagar: As part of the ‘Meri Maati, Mera Desh’ campaign, the Legal Metrology Department on Thursday celebrated the occasion at the Legal Metrology headquarters in Bemina and at various district headquarters.
In this respect the main event was held at the Legal Metrology headquarters at Bemina which was attended and supervised by the Head of the department, Majid K.A Drabu. He led the Tiranga Yatra along the main road leading towards the Legal Metrology Office.
On the occasion, employees also planted the indigenous saplings and hoisted Tricolor all across their office premises. The saplings were planted and a pledge was taken in order to mark the respect for the nation.
As part of the programme, the consumer awareness was also held at distant parts like Gurez and Tulail areas of Bandipora District wherein the general public was not only informed about their consumer rights but also about the various aspects of ‘Meri Maati, Mera Desh’ programme.
