Srinagar : Police on Thursday said that 3 militant associates owing allegiance to LET militant outfits were arrested in Budgam in a joint operation with army during which incriminating materials were also recovered from their possession.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar, Police said that along with Army (62 RR), the joint party arrested three militant associates in Khansahab area of district Budgam and identified them as Qaisar Ahmad Dar S/o Ghulam Nabi Dar R/o Kremshora, Tahir Ahmad Dar S/o Ghulam Nabi Dar R/o Wagar & Aqib Rashed Ganie S/o Abdul Rashed Ganie R/o Wagar.
Stating that the said militant associates belong to LeT militant outfit Police in it’s above referred statement further said that the incriminating materials including one Chinese hand grenade, two magazines and 57 live rounds were recovered from their possession and the material recovered was taken into custody.
In the concluding para of it’s above quoted statement police said that it has accordingly registered a case under relevant sections of law at Police Station Khansahab and initiated further investigation into the case.
