Srinagar : Police on Wednesday said that it has destroyed wild cannabis spread over a vast area of land at Binner area of Baramulla.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that after receiving inputs about the presence of Wild Cannabis at Binner, a police party Baramulla led by SHO PS Baramulla alongwith Excise & Revenue Department & Auqaf Binner under the overall supervision of DySP Hqrs Baramulla reached the spot and destroyed the Wild Cannabis spread on over 5 Kanals of public land at Binner, Baramulla.
In the concluding para of it’se above quotes statement police said that the people of these areas have also joined the destruction drive of wild cannabis at the said location and also hailed the efforts taken by it. Police on this occasion appealed people to come forward with any information regarding cultivation of contrabands in their neighbourhood and warned that people found indulging in drug peddling & cultivation of contraband substances shall be dealt as per law.
