‘Meri Mati, Mera Desh’ campaign commences at Shopian

Shopian : Under the banner of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, ‘Meri Maati, Mera Desh’ campaign started on Wednesday in all Panchayats of the district along with MC Shopian in presence of concerned BDOs.
On the occasion, Shilaphalakams that were erected at the given sites carried inscriptions of the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s message as well as names and sacrifices of the local martyrs who laid down their lives for the service and security of the Nation.
Under Meri Maati Mera Desh, all the five activities and other activities like conduct of school rallies, installation of selfie points are being held across the district from Wednesday.
Across Shopian blocks, ACD, BDOs, EO MCs and other officers along with staff and PRIs early in the morning took Panch Pran pledges alongside plaques at Amrit Sarovars.
In schools, Tiranga Rallies were organised across the length and breadth of the district while MC Shopian had installed Selfie Points where people took selfies with Tiranga.
Similarly, other activities like pasting of stickers of Meri Maati Mera Desh, were seen being pasted by transporters.
The campaign shall continue till 15th August when the grand district level celebrations will be held at DPL Shopian.
