Udhampur: A Quiz Competition on “Roadmap for Indian freedom struggle” was on Tuesday organised by Azadi Ka Amrit Mohatsav (AKAM) Committee of Government College for Women (GCW) Udhampur under the aegis of Meri Maati, Mera Desh and Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
Principal of the college, Prof. Anjali Mahajan congratulated the winners and appreciated the organisers for hosting the wonderful event that will go a long way in motivating and inspiring the students to actively participate in such events.
Five teams comprising 2 students each participated in the quiz competition. Unvesha Sharma and Kaniksha Gupta of team Kasturba, Samaili Thakur and Meetali Rajput of team Sarojini Naidu, Bhawna Sharma and Samriti Sharma of team Rani Laxmi Bai bagged 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions respectively. Winners and participants were awarded mementoes and certificates.
Earlier, Dr. Sanjeet Kour Convenor AKAM presented the formal welcome address and gave a brief resume about the event. Prof. Yash Paul conducted the proceedings of quiz competition and Prof. Rajinder Singh Presented the formal vote of thanks.
Dr. Seema Sharma, Dr. Kewal Kumar, Prof. Sumita Rao, Prof. Tania Mahajan, Prof. Pooja Bharti and Prof. Yash Kumar were among the others who graced the event with their benign presence.
