Poonch: The Intensified Mission Indradhanush 5.0 (IMI 5.0) was on Monday launched at RFWC Poonch here under the guidance of Administrative Secretary of Health and Medical Education, Bupinder Kumar and the supervision of Director of Family Welfare-MCH and Immunization, Dr. Tabasum Jabeen.
District Development Commissioner, Yasin M. Choudhary inaugurated the vaccination campaign in the presence of Chief Medical Officer Poonch, Dr. Anis Altaf Nabi, Medical Superintendent of Raja Sukhdev Singh District Hospital Poonch, Dr. Zulfqar Ahmed, Deputy Chief Medical Officer Poonch, Dr. Parvaiz Ahmed Khan, District Immunization Officer, Dr. Zoohra Parveen, VCCM, Ajay Panjotra, JHI Anjali Sharma, and other dedicated health staff members.
The first round of the IMI 5.0 campaign will run from 07-08-2023 to 12-08-2023, followed by the second round scheduled from 11-09-2023 to 16-09-2023, and the third round from 09-10-2023 to 14-10-2023. These rounds aim to cover all children aged 0 to 5 years and pregnant women who were born on or after 8 August 2018, as identified through a comprehensive headcount survey.
To ensure a seamless and efficient vaccination process, all vaccinations will be administered and recorded online through the U-Win portal, enabling beneficiaries to obtain e-certification for their immunizations.
During the vaccination process, both the pre-registration of past vaccines and the administration of current vaccines will be carried out on the U-Win portal.
In order to achieve 100 percent vaccination coverage among all beneficiaries, including children who have dropped out and pregnant women, session sites have been established in all blocks and headquarters across the district. These sites will facilitate the vaccination process and ensure that no individual is left behind in the campaign against preventable diseases.
Through this campaign, the aim is to achieve comprehensive vaccination coverage and eliminate various diseases by administering all types of vaccines.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner conducted the inspection of the Radiology Department and other infrastructure facilities, underscoring the administration’s commitment towards providing quality healthcare services alongside the vaccination campaign.
