Ganderbal: In order to finalize the selection of beneficiaries under various components of fisheries sector, District Level Committee (DLC) meeting was held on Monday here under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Ganderbal, Mehraj-ud-Din Shah.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Salman Rauoof Chalkoo, Assistant Director Fisheries (Member Secretary, HADP), and officers from Agriculture and allied Departments.
The meeting started with a brief presentation by AD Fisheries regarding the HADP components in Fisheries sector and method of selection adopted by the District head for assessing the feasibility of sites for establishment of units.
14 beneficiaries were selected under general category, who will get a subsidy of 50%, and two beneficiaries under women as SC/ST quota, were also selected, who will get 60% subsidy.
Draw of lots was conducted in presence of all the members. One biofloc unit and one carp unit was also allotted to the beneficiaries during the meeting.
Under Pradhan Mantri Matsaya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY), 02 beneficiaries were selected for motocycle with icebox and one beneficiary for construction of trout pond.
