Kupwara: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan on Monday inaugurated Intensified Mission Indradhanush (IMI) campaign at Sub District Hospital Kupwara.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that the aim of Intensified Mission Indradhanush Campaign is strengthening vaccination coverage in the district. She said that the IMI was already in place and U-Win Platform has been introduced in it which is new software for keeping the vaccination record in a digitized format. She added that 542 children of 0-5 age group who are either new born or dropouts will be vaccinated this week in Kupwara district.
The DC said that the IMI Campaign will run in every health facility of the district including Health & Wellness Centres and Anganwadi Centres for cent percent coverage of vaccination.
On the occasion, the DC provided vaccination to an infant and interacted with his mother.
Chief Medical Officer Kupwara, Dr. Ramzan; Medical Superintendent, besides, Doctors and medical/paramedical staff were present on the occasion.
