O P Sharma Director JKCCA felicitated

Jammu: A National Painters’ Camp organized by Himalayan Education Mission, Rajouri in collaboration with Jammu & Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts (JKCCA), Jammu under the inspiring banner of Nasha Mukti Abhiyan was inaugurated at Himalayan College Campus, Rajouri. Vikas Kundal IAS, District Development Commissioner, Rajouri was the chief guest on this occasion. Sh. Rajeev Kumar Khajuria, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri was the guest of honour of the function.
Renowned artist & Director JKCCA O P Sharma was felicitated by Sh. Vikas Kundal IAS, District Development Commissioner, Rajouri for his outstanding contribution gor the development of art, culture & literature.
Well known artists from different states and UTs, viz.: Jang S Verman. O P Sharma, Ashok Mehra and Adeep Bhogul. Jammu, Prof. Saroj Rani and Virendra Kumar Verma. Varanasi, Atul Mattu. Amritsar, Ashvine Vidhate Bhopal, Tariq Saifi. Umar Hasan and Shahzaib Qayoom Surankot are participating in this camp. A large number of intellectuals, writers, artists, teachers and students attended the programme.
While speaking on this occasion Sh. Vikas Kundal appreciated the role of Himalayan Education Mission and J&K Centre for Creative Arts for organizing National Painters’ Camp at Rajouri. He hoped that the camp will provide an opportunity to the students of various schools and colleges to interact with the artists working in different styles & techniques. He hoped that HEM and JKCCA will organize such more events in future to take the youth towards creative activity and get them away from drugs. Sh. Rajeev Kumar Khajuria also expressed his views on this occasion.
Chairman Himalayan Education Mission Sh. Muslim Wani in his address said that HEM is always eager to work for the wellness of the youth and engage them in creative activities. He added that HEM is ever prepared to organize cultural, literary and art events with JKCCA, which would help in keeping the youth getting rid of drug addiction and such other ill habits, and engage them in the productive activities.
Director JKCCA O P Sharma while expressing his views said that JKCCA is working for the development, promotion and propagation uf art, culture & literature in the Union Territory of J&K. He added that JKCCA has organized hundreds of activities in the field of art, culture & languages at state, national and international level. He assured that JKCCA will continue its endeavours in future also under the dynamic leadership of Pt. Kewal K Sharma, President JKCCA.
