Samba: The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit-Prabha of Government Degree College Ramgarh celebrated ‘Angdaan Mahotsav’ under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav by organising a pledge and a poster-making competition on ‘Angdaan se Jeevan Daan’.
A large number of students of the College participated in the event. All the enrolled students and faculty members pledged towards organ donation. The pledge was administered by NSS volunteer, Vimal Singh.
Principal of the college, Prof. (Dr.) Geetanjali Andotra, motivated the gathering to come forward and pledge to donate organs to save another life.
NSS Program Officer, Dr. Shamsher Lal, highlighted the importance of organ donation. He said that everyone participate in this noble cause and to help create awareness in this regard.
The first position was secured by Alisha Menia of 3rd semester, second position was secured by Prinka Devi of 3rd semester, and third position was secured by Bandhana Rani of 5th semester. The competition was judged by Dr. Aditi Khajuria, Dr. Shamsher Lal and Prof. Risha Kumari.
The faculty members present on the occasion included Dr. Aditi Khajuria, Dr. Sandeep Kumar, Dr. Shamsher Lal and Prof. Risha Kumari.
