Srinagar : Police on Thursday said that it has solved a burglary case by arresting two accused persons involved in the commission of crime and also recovered stolen property from their possession.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that on 31st August Police Station Kunzer received a written complaint from one Abdul Razak S/o Late Gh Mohammad R/o Gonipora Kunzer who alleged therein that during intervening night of 30-31 July this year some unknown burglars barged into his residential house and took away jewellery.
Stating that a case under relevant sections of laws was accordingly registered at Police Station Kunzer and investigation was also subsequently initiated, Police in it’s above referred statement further said that during the course of investigation, it came across that two persons identified as Bilal Ahmad Lone S/o Gh Mohd Lone and Ashan Jeelani Wani S/o Ghulam Jeelani Wani, both residents of Gonipora Kunzer involved in the crime, who during questioning confessed their involvement in the commission of crime and on their disclosure, stolen jewellery was recovered. Police in it’s statement further said that the said accused have been arrested and shifted to police station where they remain in custody.
In the concluding para of it’s above quoted statement police said that the people of the area have lauded the efforts taken by it for cracking/solving the case. Police on this occasion also resolved to act tough against individuals involved in any kind of criminal activities.
