Weekly Block Diwas: Mega outreach camps held at 6 locations in Doda

Doda: The District Administration Doda on Wednesday organized Mega Block Diwas programmes at Six (6) locations covering Five (5) Blocks in the district, to take appraisal of the public issues, grievances and demands.
The Block Diwas locations where administration listened to the public grievances and aspirations include Panchayat Ghar Diggi, Block and Sub District Bhaderwah; Panchayat Pora Pain, Block Changa, Sub Division Gandoh; Panchayat Ghar Bulandpur, Sub Division Assar; Tehsil Headquarter (Sewa Chiralla), Sub Division Thathri; Panchayat Beoli; and Panchayat Bijarni Lower A in Bhagwah block.
To take first hand appraisal of public grievances and demands, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Doda, Dr Ravi Kumar Bharti along with other district officers took extensive tour of Bhagwah Block and met public and PRIs at Beoli, and Bijarni Lower A.
Public and PRIs applauded the efforts of District Administration Doda under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Mahajan in its endeavour for arranging mega Youth Conclave/Lal Draman Festival to be held on 5th and 6th of August 2023 in Lal Draman Meadow. The festival will bring the picturesque Lal Draman Meadow on the tourism map of the J&K.
People apprised the ADC about their issues and grievances besides projecting various developmental demands of their areas. The demands projected during the tour in Bhagwah Block include removal of rock boulder from Beoli road, early completion of Beer Bagh Sports Stadium, repair of Government Middle School Beoli, construction of defence road from Bhagwah to Dal Draman, shortage of staff in H& WC Bijarni, Building for H&WC Bijarni, early completion of JJM Schemes, Repair of old pipeline and reservoir in Bijarni, week mobile network and demand of new towers, Protection wall for High School Bijarni, Physical Education Teacher at High school Bijarni, upgradation and augmentation of roads and electricity in the area, besides other local individual demands.
Officers and heads of departments also responded to the queries and grievances of the people pertaining to their departments and intimated people about various welfare schemes and ongoing developmental projects.
The ADC, after giving the patient hearing to the public, addressed most of the immediate nature of grievances on the spot. He also added that early redressal of public grievances is the priority of administration and instructed the officers to ensure prompt response in mitigation of public issues and grievances.
The today’s Block Diwas event held at Panchayat Ghar Diggi block and sub district Bhadarwah of district Doda was chaired by the BDC chairperson Omi Chand and ADC Bhaderwah Dilmir Choudhary along with BDO Bhaderwah. The government officers provided various services and listened to the grievances and demands of people. They resolved many issues on the spot pertaining to their respective departments. Local participants projected various demands before BDC Chairperson Bhadarwah, who assured them of early redressal.
Meanwhile, grievances redressal camps held in other Blocks witnessed huge enthusiastic public participation, where officers remained available to listen and redressed the issues and grievances of the people. The Block Diwas program held at Panchayat Ghar Bulandpur sub division Assar was chaired by the SDM Lekh Raj who listens to the public and directed to the concerned officers and officials to disposed off the raised issues and grievances at earliest. The block Diwas program at panchayat Pora Pain block Changa sub division Gandoh was presided over by the SDM Ashraf Pervez along with the officers and officials. During the program, various issues and grievances were addressed and resolved at the spot.
