Khansahib:- Observing that trust deficit and discontentment towards mainstream was the outcome of repeated betrayals to the peoples trust by the successive state and central governments since 1953 , Chairman Jammu & Kashmir Peoples Democrtic Front (J&K PDF) and Former Minister ,Hakeem Muhammed Yaseen on Wednesday urged for renewed confidence building measures (CBMs) to bridge the gap. He said need of the hour was to restore constitutional guarantees and democratic rights of the people and assuage them about their identity , dignity and honour.
According to a statement issued from party headquarters here., addressing PDF workers meeting on Wednesday ,Hakeem held some vested political parties responsible for alienation from the mainstream adding that they repeatedly breached trust of the common people just for pleasing their bosses at the Center to remain in power unethically . He said doubts were created un-necessarily about accession of Jammu and Kashmir to India , notwithstanding the fact , they were people who orchestered this constitutional provision themselves . “ After raising sensational slogans like Plebiscite , Greater autonomy and self – rule , they hobnobbed with with ideologically opposite central governments to grab the power , PDF Chairman said adding that sentiments of common people were ruthlessly trampled from time to time for the lust of power .
PDF Chairman urged the center to go for a quick socio- political course correction in Jammu and Kashmir to regain trust and faith of the people especially the youth . “ It was high time for the Centre to sincerely meet aspirations of the youth who have understood machinations of the power hungry political parties and were eagerly looking for an alternative to meet their urges and aspirations. “ He said people of Jammu and Kashmir were secular by conviction and true patriots like fellow countrymen, “PDF leader maintained adding that they have been exploited by the vested interests. He said people of Jammu and Kashmir especially the youth were disillusioned with the politics of deceit trusted meted out to them since 1953 adding that they only yearn for safeguards to their constitutional guarantees about thier better future , about their employment and their demographic existence.
”Aspirations of the people about their future and demographic rights should not be construed as an un-patriotic tendency but needs to be seen in positive perspective with sympathetic consideration and healing touch which would go a long way towards building an atmosphere of mutual trust and goodwill ,Hakeem Yaseen added. He said common people of Jammu and Kashmir were sincere and peace-loving for core of the heart and dislike haltered and hypocrisy adding that they need a warm a hug to speak their heart out . He said people of Jammu and Kashmir have woken up now and have full ability to differentiate between their friends and exploiters. “They can’t be hoodwinked on hollow slogans anymore ,Hakeem maintained while asking the party cadre to serve the society with a sense of belonging ,to remain relevant in the emerging socio-political scene . He asked the workers to reach out to the people in their respective areas to redress their problems . “This was imperative to win peoples goodwill and trust, PDF leader observed.
