Srinagar: J&K Food Supplies Employees Association with it’s President Aijaz Ahmad Khan taking a lead role distributed refreshments and soft drinks among Shia ‘Azadars’ on the occasion of Ashura – the 10th Muharram.
Reports said that teams of J&K Food Supplies Employees Association headed by the President of the Association Aijaz Ahmad Khan on Saturday gathered near Srinagar’s Zadibal area and disturbed refreshment and soft drinks among mourners of Ashura procession.
Speaking on the occasion President of the Association Aijaz Ahmad Khan said “We are distributing refreshments and soft drinks in memory of the Martyrs of Karbala. The battle of Karbala reminds us about the sacrifice of Imam Hussain and his companions.” Few days back J&K Food Supplies Employees Association had arranged a blood donation camp to show solidarity with the mourners of Karbala martyrs in Zadibal area.
Meanwhile, the Shias of the area expressed gratitude to Aijaz Ahmad Khan and his colleagues of J&K Food Supplies Employees Association for reaching out to the mourners on this significant day
