Srinagar : Police on Friday said that it has arrested an abducted minor girl by arresting an accused person involved in the commission of crime in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that Police Station Palhallan received a written complaint from one person who alleged therein that his daughter (name withheld) aged about 22 years was abducted by one person namely Aijaz Ahmad Bhat S/o Nazir Ahmad Bhat R/o Check Jamal Mir Pattan following which a case was registered under relevant sections of law at Police Station Pattan and further investigation was also initiated into the case.
Police further said that while acting swiftly, a police team of Police Post Palhallan after strenuous efforts traced and recovered the abducted girl and arrested the accused person involved in the commission of crime and subsequently the accused was shifted to Police Station where he remains in custody.
Police in it’s statement further added that after completing all medico-legal formalities, the girl was handed over to her legal heirs. Police on this occasion also resolved to act tough against the elements involved in any sort of criminal activities.
