Kathua: Basohli Forest Division on Thursday conducted a Plantation drive at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Basohli where a wide variety of religious, ornamental and tree species plants were planted as part of Greening J&K 2023-24 Drive of Forest Department.
ADC Basohli, Ajit Singh; DFO Basohli, Principal and Faculty JNV Basohli, Range Officers and ETF Range along with the students of JNV and Forest field staff participated in the plantation drive by planting saplings of Important tree species like Rudraksha, Shami (Prosopis cineraria), Bhel, Chinar, Neem, Arjun etc were planted along with other ornamental plants.
The DFO Basohli informed that under the aegis of Greening J&K Drive 2023-24, the department has already undertaken series of Plantation drives under Har Gaon Haryali, Ped Lagayain Beti Ke Naam, One Beat Guard One Village Programme to promote afforestation across all Panchayats of Basohli.
