Dras (Kargil): Chief of Army Staff General Manoj Pande Wednesday stressed on the need to constantly reboot the future and exchange of field experiences to make the Indian armed force “a technology-enabled, future-ready force to tackle any complex challenges.”
Army chief said the armed forces should prepare for future keeping in mind possible challenges, which are likely to get more complex.
“Dangers and challenges before us are likely to get complex in the future, we need to be ready for the challenging situations,” he told reporters at Dras while addressing the ceremonial press conference on the occasion of Vijay Diwas.
“The challenges further before us seem more complex. We have to make sure that our forces are ready to tackle future challenges,” the General officer said.
“We have been working on adaptive, resilient and responsive processes and I am confident that our forces will become modern technology enabling future ready forces to take up all the challenges posed to us,” he said.
“Our Army will emerge as a technology-enabled and future-ready force to deal with security challenges,” he said
Lauding the forces, the army chief said that despite adverse weather conditions and difficult terrains, the Indian Army always kept its promise and commitment to protect country’s sovereignty by facing all odds and selflessly sacrificing themselves for the nation and becoming inspiration for not only their units but for the whole country.
He also lauded the role of the local population of Dras, Mushkoh Valley, Kargil and entire for standing shoulder to shoulder with the forces during the war and provided several support to fighting troops
