Ramban: To commemorate 24th year of Kargil Vijay Diwas, Indian Army organised a wreath laying ceremony in Banihal tehsil of Ramban District on Wednesday. The ceremony was attended by 20 NCC students, teachers, media personnel and soldiers.
The event was conducted on July 26 every year to commemorate the victory of Indian Armed Forces in the Kargil War fought against Pakistan. It is observed to pay tribute and to honor the bravery and sacrifice of the soldiers in the war of 1999.
The event started with paying homage to Kargil heroes by a wreath laying ceremony followed by the slogan of ‘Jai Hind’. The enthusiasm and patriotism of the NCC students added to the charm of the event.
