Srinagar : Police on Wednesday said that it has recovered an abducted minor girl in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district by arresting an accused person involved in the commission of crime .
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that on July,24 Police Post Palhallan received a written complaint from a civilian who alleged therein that his minor daughter is missing from home since July,23 following which a case under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Pattan and investigation was also initiated into the case.
Police in its statement further said “during the course of investigation and with the help of technical evidences, it came fore that the missing girl has been abducted by one person identified as Nazim Ahmad Kumar S/o Abdul Razak R/o Mulgam Kunzer and consequently, a police party swung into action and proceeded towards Kunzer where the accused was arrested and the abducted girl was recovered”.
Stating that after completing all medico-legal formalities, the girl was handed over to her legal heirs and further investigation into the case is underway,
Police in the concluding para of it’s above quoted statement police appealed people to cooperate with it in curbing social crimes in their neighbourhood and assured them that it’s efforts in curbing social crimes shall continue in future also.
