Srinagar: Police on Monday said that it has arrested two pickpockets including a lady at GMC Baramulla and also recovered stolen cash from their possession.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that a police party led by SHO Police Station Baramulla under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Baramulla Altaf Ahmad arrested two pick-pockets including a lady at GMC Baramulla and recovered stolen cash from their possession, adding therein that the accused have been identified as Ishfaq Ahmad Gojree S/o Bashir Ahmad Gojree R/o Drangbal and a lady resident of New Plot Jammu A/P Drangbal Baramulla.
Stating that during investigation, it came to surface that they were stealing money from patients and their attendants visiting GMC and were taking advantage of huge flow of patients to GMC Baramulla, Police in it’s statement further said that a case under relevant sections of law has been also registered at Police Station Baramulla and further investigation are underway.
In the concluding para of it’s above quoted statement police appealed people to extend cooperation with it and come forward with any information regarding any such kind of activity in their neighbourhood.
