Srinagar: Police on Saturday said that it has solved a theft case in Baramulla by arresting an accused person involved in the commission of crime.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarter Srinagar Police said that on July 20 Police Station Pattan received a written application from one person namely Khursheed Ahmad Zaz S/o Ab Gani Zaz (Contractor by profession) who alleged therein that some thieves have stolen his mixer (Cement mixer) from Shirpora Pattan near PHE water filtration plant following which a case wide FIR No. 239/2023 was registered under relevant sections of law at Police Station Pattan and investigation was also launched into the case.
Police in it’s statement further said that during preliminary investigation, some suspects were called to the Police Station for questioning, adding therein that technical tools were also used to trace out the culprits and after strenuous efforts, one suspect namely Irshad Majeed Wani S/o Ab Majeed Wani R/o Chanderseer confessed his involvement in commission of crime and later on his disclosure, stolen property was recovered from his residence at Chanderseer.
Stating that the accused was arrested and shifted to police station where he remains in custody and investigation of the case is going on, Police in the concluding para of it’s above quoted statement said the people of the area lauded the efforts taken by it for cracking/solving the case. Police in it’s statement also resolved to act tough against individuals involved in any kind of criminal activities.
