Kupwara: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan Saturday convened a meeting of the District Level Committee regarding Change of Land Use (CLU) cases in the district.
At the outset, detailed discussion was held regarding comments submitted by various departments for the issuance of NOCs of pending cases of CLU in the district.
As many as 26 cases were put up for discussion; after thorough deliberation on various aspects of the policy, 2 cases were approved by the committee, 2 were rejected and 3 cases were reverted to applicants to get some observations cleared.
The DC directed the concerned departments to submit quality comments/concrete NOCs within stipulated time as per the provisions of PSGA Act to ensure timely disposal of CLU.
Ayushi emphasised that since CLU cases involve comments from various departments, there is an increased need for inter-departmental coordination.
The DC directed officers to stick to the deadlines and conduct the joint site inspections of the cases.
Meeting was attended by ACR Kupwara, Ex. Engineers of Jal Shakti, KPDCL and PWD; Chief Agriculture Officer Kupwara, Functional Manager DIC, Tehsildars, EO Municipal Committee (MC) Kupwara, EO MC Handwara and other concerned officials.
