Abducted girl recovered within hours in Bla, Accused also arrested: Police

Srinagar: Police on Saturday said that in a swift action on receipt of a complaint about the abduction of a girl, it has immediately rushed into action and recovered an abducted girl within hours by arresting the accused person involved in the commission of crime.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that on July 21 this year Police Post Palhallan received a written complaint from a one person who alleged therein the his daughter (name withheld) aged about 16 years waskidnapped by Gowhar Abbas S/o Mohd Abbas Wani R/o Kralwari Chadoora after which police accordingly registered a case under relevant sections of law at Police Station Pattan and initiated investigation into the case immediately.
Police in it’s statement further said that while acting swiftly, a police team of Police Post Palhallan swung into action and recovered the abducted girl within six hours from Gamandar Chadoora Budgam and also arrested the accused kidnapper on the spot who was later shifted to Police Station where he remains in custody.
Stating that after completion of all medico-legal norms, the girl was handed over to her legal heirs and the further investigation into the matter is going on, Police in the concluding para of it’s above quoted statement appealed people to cooperate with it in curbing social crimes in their neighbourhood and reassured them all possible steps will be taken to curb social crimes from the society.
