Walking in the maze of Lanes into LOLAB valley known as Land of Love and beauty, some 10 km at a distance from Kupwara’s main town in kashmir valley . Meandering through its exposed brick and old wooden structures – a stunning place with amazingly thick verdent forests , the sprawling pastures and the streams with water singing, adding to its bounties …This beautiful place however often shouting for some attention and care in silence. ..telling of a time …of a beautiful bridge man has made with nature. MESMERIZING. Lolab Valley is a hidden paradise nestled in the lap of snow-clad mountains, offering a tranquil retreat for those seeking solace in nature’s embrace. Relatively untouched and less explored compared to other popular tourist destinations in Kashmir, making it a hidden gem for nature lovers and adventure enthusiasts. The valley is a haven for trekkers, offering numerous trails that showcase its stunning landscapes and provide opportunities to explore the surrounding mountains. For poet Iqbal, (widely known as Allama Iqbal, is best remembered in India as the man who penned one of the most patriotic songs ever written, ‘Saare jahan se achha Hindostan humara’.) Lolab represents more than just a physical landscape. He sees it as a manifestation of divine grace, symbolized by the yearning and longing depicted in the verse “Paani teri chesmun ka tadapta huwa seemab” (The water of your spring is a restless sea). The beauty and serenity of the valley are personified in the verse “Murgan sahar teri fazanwu main hai baitab” (In your morning, the birds are wide awake). These poetic expressions highlight Iqbal’s perception of the captivating allure of Lolab. Through his verses, Iqbal extends an invitation to others to witness the enchanting beauty of Lolab. He describes the fragrance, sounds, colors, and the melodious songs of birds that make Lolab a truly mesmerizing experience. Iqbal’s intention is to share his love for the valley and inspire others to appreciate its natural wonders, including the gushing streams, flowing rivers, and the sparkling and dazzling nature that Lolab possesses. Even without physically visiting Lolab, Iqbal’s poetic imagination allows him to capture its essence and convey its beauty to others through his heartfelt verses in “Armughaan-e-Hejaaz. During winter, Lolab Valley receives heavy snowfall, which further enhances its charm, transforming it into a winter wonderland. The snow-clad mountains create a mesmerizing backdrop against the valley’s scenic beauty, making it a paradise for photographers and nature enthusiasts. Apart from its natural beauty, the valley is also known for its rich cultural heritage. It is home to several villages, where the local population engages in agriculture and traditional handicrafts. The people of Lolab Valley are warm and hospitable, welcoming visitors to experience their unique way of life.

As a citizen of this beautiful valley in Kashmir, I welcome you all my countrymen to one of the most beautiful places of Kashmir valley: do come, enjoy and feel refreshed and relaxed with fresh breezes, cool air, breathtaking scenery and local food and hospitality.
