Srinagar: Police on Thursday said that it has recovered an abducted girl in Baramulla district and also arrested two accused persons involved in the commission of crime.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that Police Post Palhallan on Ist July this year received a written complaint from one person (name withheld) who alleged therein that his daughter aged about 19 years was missing from home since June 30 this year, adding therein that the police accordingly registered a case vide FIR No. 222/ 2023 under relevant sections of law at Police Station Pattan and initiated investigation into the case
Police in its statement further said that during the course of investigation, it came to the fore that some unknown persons have abducted the said missing girl following and with the help of technical evidences it was found the accused persons along with victim had left J&K for New Delhi.
Police in its statement also said that while acting promptly, it had constituted a team who accordingly went to New Delhi where from the abducted girl was recovered and the accused persons Ashiq Ali Mangral S/o Mohd Akram Mangral R/o Tuli Reasi & Deep Kumar S/o Sadha Ram R/o Chalabeni Kathua were arrested and later after completing the legal formalities, the abductee was handed over to her legal heirs. “Further investigation of the case is going on”, Police said in the above referred statement.
