A group of persons involved in illegal extraction and transportation minerals arrested in Bla: Police

Srinagar: Police on Thursday said that it has arrested a group of persons involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals and also seized his tractor in North Kashmir’s district Baramulla.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that a police party under the supervision of Dy SP Hqrs Baramulla Altaf Ahmad , assisted by SHO PS Baramulla arrested most notorious and hardcore member of sand mafia at Chakloo Baramulla and seized his tractor for being involved in illegal transportation of minerals, besides which the accused has been identified as Waseem Ahmad War S/o Gh Mohiuddin War R/o Chakloo Baramulla.
Stating that police has accordingly registered a case under relevant sections of law at Police Station Baramulla and initiated further investigation into the case, Police in the concluding para of it’s above quoted statement warned that people indulging in illegal extraction activities shall be dealt with as per law and appealed people to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with their concerned police units.
