Public engagement, grievances redressal mark Weekly Block Diwas program in Doda

Doda: Continuing its public outreach and engagement, the District Administration Doda on Wednesday conducted weekly Block Diwas programs at multiple locations, including Panchayat Ghar Udrana B in Block Bhaderwah, Sub m-district Bhaderwah; Panchayat Gandow A in Block Jakyas, Sub-division Gandoh; Panchayat Ghar Ganota in Subdivision Assar and Panchayat Barshalla in Tehsil Thathri, Subdivision Thathri.
The outreach camps, held under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Doda, Vishesh Mahajan, witnessed an overwhelming response of individuals representing diverse backgrounds, including PRIs (Panchayati Raj Institutions).
The Participants earnestly expressed their grievances, focusing on crucial issues such as augmentation of water and power supply, better healthcare infrastructure with sufficient staff, appointment of teachers in educational institutions and road connectivity enhancement, among others.
Throughout the day-long Block Diwas proceedings, both the public and PRIs voiced a wide range of demands and issues. The presiding officers carefully listened to these concerns and promptly directed the respective officers to compile a list of the raised grievances and work towards resolving them as quickly as possible.
The event at Panchayat Ghar Udrana B, Block Bhadarwah, was chaired by BDC Chairperson, Omi Chand, and attended by ADC Bhaderwah, Ch. Dil Mir. The government officers present at the event provided essential services and attentively listened to the grievances and demands of the public. Numerous issues were resolved on the spot, with ADC assuring the participants of prompt redressal for their remaining concerns.
At the Block Diwas program held at Panchayat Ghar Ganota in Subdivision Assar, the Tehsildar, Fareed Ahmed Sheikh, presided over the event, addressing and resolving various issues and grievances on the spot with the assistance of officers and officials from relevant departments.
The program saw the participation of officers from various departments, including AEE PHE, TSO Bhaderwah, Forest, Floriculture, Horticulture, Agriculture, RDD, Fisheries, Revenue, and others. This collective effort aimed to establish direct contact with the people, attentively listen to their grievances, and effectively resolve them in a coordinated and efficient manner, thereby reinforcing the administration’s commitment to public welfare and service.
