Ganderbal: Chairman Municipal Council (MC) Ganderbal, Adv. Altaf distributed glass, water bottles and jute bags among yatries at Manigam Base Camp as part of a plastic free yatra campaign.
While interacting with the yatries at transit camp Manigam, Chairman MC welcomed them and urged them to avoid single use plastic at transit camps and enroute during yatra. He urged all to say ‘No to Polythene, Yes to Life’.
While highlighting the importance of Amarnath Yatra, the Chairman said that they are lucky enough that the holy yatra is conducted from Ganderbal district and they are standing shoulder to shoulder to provide all facilities to the devotees.
“We are highly thankful to Chairman Municipality Adv Altaf Ganderbali and his entire councillors and all employees for providing us all facilities here at base camp Manigam”, said yatries.
