DDC Chairperson G’bal inaugurates H&WC at Lar, Urges locals to avail benefit of services at centre

Ganderbal: The Chairperson, District Development Council (DDC) Ganderbal, Nuzhat Ishfaq on Tuesday inaugurated the first of its kind Ayush Health and Wellness Center (H&WC) at Lar Ganderbal.
While dedicating the institution to the public, the DDC Chairperson said that the AYUSH system of medicine has been traditionally used for healthcare through centuries. She said that the health promotive, preventive and curative roles of Ayush systems are the reasons for its acceptance among the masses.
DDC Chairperson urged people to avail benefits of the facilities at the wellness centre which includes Preventive, Promotive and Curative services and integrates Allopathic, AYUSH and Naturopathic systems for holistic approach towards health and wellbeing of a person and community.
“It is a good opportunity for people of Lar to avail services of Ayush like OPD services, Ayush Medicines, Panchkarma, Yoga etc” she added.
The DDC Chairperson said one of the objectives of establishing H&WC is to promote social connectivity and wellbeing and wellness of people of the district.
She enjoined upon the Health functionaries to work in a mission mode for effective and efficient functioning of the Centres to serve its purpose in the larger interest of the people.
She also emphasised on giving focused attention towards vulnerable groups including socially and marginalized weaker sections of society.
The facilities like cupping, massaging, yoga, gym and Ayush medical consultation are also available for the locals.
Meanwhile, the local people of Lar and adjoining areas have hailed the initiative taken by DDC Chairperson and District Administration and hoped that people visiting these wellness centres will be benefited.
Nuzhat Ishfaq stated that further steps will be taken for promoting Health and Medical tourism in Ganderbal district.
Deputy Director Ayush, Dr Nuzhat Bashir; Assistant Director Ayush, Tehsildar Lar, District Nodal Officer Ayush, Medical Officer, BMO Lar, PRIs and other concerned and large numbers of people were present on the occasion.
