Rajouri : A comprehensive training on use of Poshan Tracker App was on Thursday imparted to Child Development Project Officers (CDPOs) Anganwadi workers and supervisors of Rajouri District.
The training aimed to familiarize them with the effective utilization of the Poshan Tracker app to upload various parameters of beneficiaries.
The Poshan Tracker app, a digital platform introduced by the Government of India’s flagship initiative, the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) program, has been designed to monitor and track the growth and nutritional status of children and women across the country. Through this app, real-time data collection and analysis can be performed, enabling targeted interventions and better resource allocation. The training conducted by State Nodal Officer Poshan Abhiyan Ankush Sharma marks a significant milestone in the utilization of the Poshan Tracker app in Rajouri District, reinforcing the district’s dedication to eradicating malnutrition and fostering the holistic development of women and children.
The Anganwadi workers, supervisors, and CDPOs were given hands-on training on how to navigate the Poshan Tracker app and upload different parameters related to the beneficiaries they serve. These parameters include vital information such as height, weight, immunization records, and dietary patterns, among others.
The training emphasized the significance of accurate data entry, ensuring that the information recorded in the Poshan Tracker app reflects the ground reality and aids in formulating effective policies and interventions. The participants were also educated about the various features and functionalities of the app, empowering them to leverage its potential to address malnutrition and related issues.
The implementation of the Poshan Tracker app in Rajouri District is expected to streamline the monitoring process, enhance data accuracy, and facilitate prompt decision-making. It will enable health authorities and policymakers to track the progress of individual beneficiaries, identify nutritional gaps, and extend appropriate support and counseling to improve their overall well-being.
The training program received overwhelming participation and enthusiasm from the Anganwadi workers, supervisors, and CDPOs, who expressed their commitment to leveraging the power of technology for the betterment of the communities they serve.
With the successful completion of this training, Rajouri District is now poised to harness the potential of the Poshan Tracker app, reinforcing its commitment to eradicating malnutrition and ensuring the holistic development of women and children.
Among the others, the District Programme Officer Rajouri Showkat Mehmood Malik and District Information Officer, Israr Bukhari also attended the training.
