IUST holds meet the Eminent Programme

Awantipora : On Wednesday under its ‘Meet The Eminent Programme’, IUST hosted Justice Bashir Ahmad Kirmani. The programme forms a part of series of interactions aimed to inspire the youth towards excellence and imbibing positive approach among them.
According to a statement issued from Public Relations Office IUST here, the programme organized by The Rumi Library, IUST was attended by students, scholars, faculty and university officers including Dean Academic Affairs, Registrar, Librarian, Controller and Deans.
Librarian Rumi Library Dr Fayaz Ahmad Lone welcomed the guest and highlighted his multifaceted personality and achievements. In his address Justice B.A.Kirmani talked about different challenges faced by an individual and stressed that human upliftment is contingent on positivity. He said that human spirit is indomitable and our duty is to harness the potential of the youth for development of human society. He talked about the role of educational institutions in the progress of the nation and said obtaining and imparting knowledge, both are divine duties.
Expressing gratitude to the eminent speaker, Prof. Manzoor A Malik (DAA) and Prof. Naseer Iqbal (Registrar) applauded the organizers of the programme. The proceedings were conducted by Mr Sheikh Shoib, Assistant Librarian, IUST
