DDC Kupwara reviews progress of various schemes under RD sector

DC Stresses for completion of all ongoing works within stipulated time frame

Kupwara: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan on Wednesday convened a meeting of concerned officers to review the progress achieved under various schemes of the Rural Development Department.
The DDC took a detailed review of all the schemes including MGNREGA, PMAY, SBM, ADF, Amrit Sarovars .
She stressed upon the officers to work with added dedication and hardwork to ensure completion of all ongoing works within the stipulated time frame.
Reviewing the status of Swach Bharat Mission (SBM-G), the DDC was informed that 313 segregation sheds have been allotted for construction in all 24 blocks of the district; of which work is in progress on 208 sheds and 44 have been completed so far. She stressed upon all the concerned officers to ensure that targets under SBM-G and Amrit Sarovar are achieved within the given timelines.
The DDC directed the ACD to make a Model Tender so as to keep specification and eligibility criteria uniform across the panchayats for tendering of different works. She directed the concerned officers to sensitize the panchayats about the use of segregation sheds.
Regarding Community Soakage and Compost Pits, the meeting was informed that 258 works under community soakage pits and 163 works under Community Compost Pits have been allotted in the district and work has been already started on 132 works.
Regarding Plastic Waste Mangement Units, it was informed that 17 units have been tendered out of which 12 have been allotted.
She directed the concerned officers for taking Tehsildars on board while identifying land for construction of different community assets including Community Soakage Pits and Compost Pits.
Under Amrit Sarovar Mission, the DDC was informed that 487 works across all blocks of the district have been taken up out of which 451 works stands completed so far and 36 works are ongoing.
The DDC also took a review of progress of works under CD Panchayats, Area Development Fund, Aspirational Panchayat Development Scheme, Samridh Seema Yojna, MGNREGA, PMAY (G) and other relevant schemes. Programme Officer ICDS Project Kupwara, Hakeem Tanveer Ahmad; JD Planning, Abdul Majeed; ACD, BDOs, XEN REW and concerned officers attended the meeting.
