DC Kishtwar reviews preparedness for Machail Mata Yatra Engages with PRIs & Local Community at Paddar

Kishtwar : Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr. Devansh Yadav on Wednesday conducted a whirlwind tour of Paddar area to assess the arrangements for the annual Machail Mata Yatra, besides inaugurating the newly upgraded Bus Stand Gulabgarh with the completion of Blacktoping work.
DDC Member Paddar, Hari Krishan Chauhan; SDM Paddar, Arun Kumar Badyal; Tehsildar Paddar, Satish Rana; BDO Paddar, Sanjeev Kotwal; AEE JPDCL, Sudhir Sharma; AEE PWD, Aijaz Ahmed Gagroo and other Engineers of PWD R&B accompanied the Deputy Commissioner.
During the visit, he engaged with the members of Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) and the local populace and attentively listened to their suggestions and feedback to ensure the success of the annual pilgrimage, scheduled to commence on the 25th of July 2023.
The primary objective of DC’s visit was to review the preparations made by the concerned authorities and ensure that all necessary arrangements are in place for the smooth conduct of the Machail Mata Yatra.
While interacting with the PRIs, Dr. Yadav encouraged them to actively participate in the planning and execution of the yatra, emphasizing the importance of their role in maintaining harmony and coordinating with the administrative machinery. He appreciated their valuable suggestions and assured them of the administration’s commitment to incorporate their feedback to enhance the overall experience of the yatra.
Later, he inspected ongoing construction work of Yatri Bhawan, Sapphire Guest House and Mushroom Tents in Gulabgarh. The concerned authorities were directed to work in double shifts and make the facilities available for pilgrims well before the start of the yatra.
SDM Paddar was directed to monitor the progress of work on these projects and ensure quality of work.
The Deputy Commissioner reiterated the administration’s commitment to provide adequate facilities, including healthcare, sanitation, water, electricity, langar points, accommodation, and security arrangements to the devotees undertaking the Machail Mata Yatra.
He directed the concerned departments to meticulously implement the prescribed guidelines, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable pilgrimage experience for all participants.
Dr. Yadav expressed his gratitude to the PRIs, local community, and all stakeholders involved in the preparations for their wholehearted cooperation and support. He urged everyone to work together in a coordinated manner to create an atmosphere of positivity and warmth during the yatra.
Earlier on Wednesday morning, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar visited langar point Galhar and directed Tehsildar Nagseni and BDO Nagseni to extend every possible support from their end.
Also directed to make the defunct lying bathrooms functional alongside the Galhar road so that the same can be used by the yatries.
