Srinagar: A man hailing from South Kashmir’s Anantnag district died after he fell in a drain at Aramwari area of Rajbagh in Srinagar, officials said on Tuesday.
An official said that a man, originally hailing from Kokernag area of Anantnag district, accidentally fell in the drainage in Rajbagh here.
“Immediately after the incident, he was shifted to the hospital for treatment, where the doctors declared him dead on arrival,” he said.
Meanwhile, the official added that the identification of the deceased is being ascertained, as his family is being called to identify and confirm his identity.
Furthermore, police have taken cognizance of the incident and registered a case under the relevant sections of the law
