Udhampur: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Sachin Kumar Vaishya on Tuesday chaired a meeting of health department functionaries here in Mini Conference Hall of DC Office Complex to review the healthcare scenario and healthcare services being provided by the department to the people in the district.
At the outset, Chief Medical Officer, Dr Anil Manhas briefed the DC about the functioning of the health department and indicator wise achievements.
The DC took an extensive review of achievements under various health schemes, functioning of health institutions, infrastructure upgradation, and the healthcare facilities being provided to the patients. The DC asked for focusing on efficient delivery of health services in all health institutions to facilitate the public.
He stressed upon all to serve the patients with utmost dedication and sincerity. The DC directed the medicos to prescribe generic medicine in all OPDs of the district. Officers of the health department were directed to conduct field visits in their respective areas. To stop the unnecessary prescription of drugs by doctors, the DC directed the CMO to conduct a prescription Audit in the District.
He directed the CMO to install the Biometric attendance system in all the health institutions and make it sure that the staffers mark their attendance through the Biometric system on a daily basis. The BMOs were directed to be punctual and work with dedication and zeal. DC urged upon health functionaries to come up to the expectations of the patients and focus on quality assurance, accessible, affordable health care in the district.
