Srinagar : Police on Saturday said that while cracking whip on stunt bikers, triple riders and violators 17 persons involved in such acts were on Saturday booked in Baramulla.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar, Police said that a police party of Police Station Sheeri led by SHO Police Station Sheeri, seized 17 two-wheelers and booked 17 persons who were involved in stunt biking/ triple riding in Sheeri Baramulla.
Stating that the police has accordingly registered a case under relevant sections of law at Police Station Sheeri and initiated further investigation into the case, Police in it’s above quoted statement said that it has been closely monitoring the increasing instances of stunt biking in various areas which not only pose a significant threat to the lives of the bikers themselves but also endanger the lives of innocent bystanders and motorists on the roads.
In the concluding para of it’s above referred statement urged people to cooperate with it by reporting any such instances of reckless stunt biking or other traffic violations to the nearest police station immediately.
