Srinagar: Deputy Commissioner Shopian on Friday relieved an officer having additional charge of ARTO Shopian for failing to perform his duties.
According to an order issued by the Government the Block Development Officer Chitragam has been given charge of the ARTO Shopian till regular arrangement is made.
“Abrar Ahmad Kripak was directed to perform his duties on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday in Shopian, but he failed to perform his duties on the assigned days and the public is suffering due to his repeated non-availability,” reads the order.
It added that even after repeated telephonic communications, he has failed to perform his duties in this District.
“Therefore, keeping in view the hardships faced by the general public and to ensure smooth delivery of services, he is relieved from his additional charge of Shopian with immediate effect and Jahid Azad, Block Development Officer, Chitragam shall hold the charge of ARTO, Shopian,” it reads
