Srinagar: A 46- year-old man was arrested for allegedly raping his 15-year-old relative in Srinagar, police said on Thursday.
This is second rape incident in Srinagar in last 24 hours.
Police said Mohammad Iqbal Sheikh resident of Kanthpora, Sogam Kupwara who was presently staying in Pamposh Colony, Srinagar was arrested for raping a minor 15 year old girl.
“The accused is relative of child,” a Srinagar police spokesman said.
Police said a case under sections 352,376,506 Indian Penal Code and 3/4 POCSO Act was registered in Police Station Safakadal.
On Wednesday, a 22-year-old individual was arrested in Srinagar for raping a minor. The accused was a close relative of victim girl child.
