Kulgam : Police in Baramulla on Tuesday solved a theft case by arresting an accused person involved in the commission of crime.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that Police Station Bijhama received a written application from one person Bilal Ahmad Dar S/o Khazir Mohd Dar R/o Salamabad Dachina stating therein that some unknown thieves have stolen three goats from Salamabad Dachna jungle and a case under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Bijhama and subsequently investigation was also initiated.
Stating that during the course of investigation, officers investigating the case led by SHO Police Station Bijhama zeroed in on many suspects for questioning and after strenuous efforts, one suspect namely Parvaiz Ahmad Mughal son of Mohd Shafi Mughal resident of Salamabad confessed his involvement in commission of crime, Police in it’s statement further said that on the disclosure of the said suspects all the stolen property was recovered after which the suspect was arrested and shifted to police station where he remains in custody.
Police in it’s statement furthermore said that after completion of all legal formalities, the stolen property was handed over to the legal owner, adding therein that the people on this occasion lauded the efforts of police for cracking/solving the case.
