DC Kupwara undertakes visit of Handwara, Inspects Transit accommodation of GMC Handwara

Kupwara : In order to take on site review of pace of work on different developmental projects going on at Handwara Sub division of Kupwara district, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan paid a visit of Handwara and inspected transit accommodation for Government Medical College (GMC) Handwara.
The DC visited the makeshift administrative block, Physiology, Anatomy, Biochemistry, Microbiology sections, office of the Principal GMC, Library, lecture halls and other facilities.
Principal GMC, Dr. Iffat Hassan Shah; Medical Superintendent District Hospital Handwara; Tehsildar Handwara and other concerned officers were present at the occasion.
The DC said it is a matter of great privilege for the people of Kupwara district that the transit accommodation for GMC is at final stage of completion and first Batch will start soon.
She said that GMC Handwara is the pride of Kupwara district and its functioning will definitely add a feather in our cap and a big dream is coming true.
The DC also visited Handwara Municipal committee and checked the pace of work of different projects.
Later, she also undertook a visit to Handwara market and took stock of different facilities.
