Omar playing divisive muslim card the NC’s tried & tested technique: Brig Anil Gupta

Srinagar: Mehbooba Mufti’s new-found love for the Indian Constitution is born out of the political compulsion to remain relevant rather than any change of heart. Mehbooba who is known for having stated that there would be none to lift Tiranga in Kashmir if Article 370 is abrogated and even now insists that she would not contest elections until the Constitution and flag of Jammu & Kashmir is restored and terms abrogation of 370 as an attack on the idea of India, needs to clarify which idea of India is she referring to, questioned Brig Anil Gupta, Spokesperson of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
A profound advocate of separatism, militancy, radicalization, regional and religious discrimination and staunch opponent of One Constitution, One Flag, One India and Strong India is apprehensive of the fear of “Kashmirisation” of the entire country if BJP returned to power in 2024. From her rhetoric it is evident that her idea of India is nothing but “Revenge Politics” to avenge the withdrawal of support to her government by the BJP in June 2018, stated Brig Gupta.
Ironically, the Kashmir politics revolved around the leadership being loyal and full of praise of the Central Government or the ruling party at the Centre when in power and turn hostile to it whenever out of power. Therefore, their idea of India revolves around the ‘Kursi’ and has no relevance to more important national values of unity, equality and Sarv Dharam Sambhav, retorted Brig Gupta.
“After 05 August 2019, the BJP government at the Centre which believes in Sarv Dharam Smabhav has become an anathema for the entire Gupkar Gang including Congress which has a skewed vision as far as secularism is concerned. It is the same Gupkar Gang which still talks of Greater Autonomy and Self-Rule and return to 370 and 35A regime, in other words they want a dispensation in JK which is against the soul and spirit of the Indian Constitution and outside the constitutional framework. Her love for Pakistan flows from the Self-Rule doctrine wherein her party wanted Pakistan to share equal sovereign powers with India in J&K. This is her idea of India, a blueprint for balkanization of India. What is worrying is that having lost people’s confidence in J&K, she is being provided national platform by the desperate opposition to spread this venom,” lamented Brig Gupta.
“By expressing concern against “Kashmirisation” of the rest of the country, she is trying to sell the idea of balkanization at the national level, cautioned the BJP spokesperson.
Mehbooba’s idea of India is “a semi-independent Kashmir, governed jointly by Pakistan and India, exploit its Muslim majority character at the expense of Hindus and other minorities which shall remain subjugated to the Kashmiri leadership and surrender to their bondage deprived of their basic rights of equality and co-existence,” stated Brig Gupta.
He further said that BJP’s commitment to Sarv Dharam Sambhav and Equality for All is unwavering and it would not allow the nefarious designs of the Gupkaris and their allies to succeed for which it seeks the cooperation of all those who believe in the idea of India embracing Sarv Dharam Sambhav and Equality for All.
