Srinagar : Police on Monday said that it has arrested a person along with 380 fake gold biscuits at Khanpora area of Baramulla.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that a police party under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Baramulla Altaf Ahmad assisted by SHO Police Station Baramulla at a checkpoint established at Khanpora Bridge intercepted a person who tried to flee after noticing police party but was apprehended tactfully and later identified as Javid Ahmad Dar S/o Ab Rahim Dar R/o Khanpora Baramulla, adding therein that during search, 380 fake gold biscuits weighing about 380 grams was recovered from his possession and the accused was later accordingly shifted to police station where he remains in custody.
Police in it’s statement further said that a case was registered under relevant sections of law at Police Station Baramulla and further course of investigation was also initiated into the case
