Run for ‘Drug, Tobacco Free Pulwama’ held in South Kashmir

Pulwama : Run for Drug Free/Tobacco Free Pulwama was held by Mashek “write your dreams” NGO and Fitness 99 GYM from Government Women’s College Pulwama to New Bus Stand Drussu Pulwama on Friday morning.

Bhat Musaddiq Reyaz, young social activist & District President of Mashek NGO was the main idea behind holding the run against raising awareness about drug menace.

The race was organised because the drug abuse cases are alarming in the society. To promote sports and athletes it was need of an hour to give them such platform.

More than 200 people mostly youth participated in the run .
The run was flagged by DySP headquarter Pulwama Showkat Rafiq Wani.

The race concluded with a positive sign as Abid Hussain Mir of Achgoza village secured first postion, Yawer Reshi of Ratnipora secured second postion and Nadeem from Sonsamil village registered third position.

The first three postion holders were rewared with cash price of five thousand,Three thousand & two thousand respectively.
A felicitation ceremony was also held after the race concluded near new bus stand Pulwama in which all the participants were felicitated with certificates.

The dignitaries present during the felicitation ceremony were ACR Pulwama Aijaz Ahmad, ASP Pulwama Tanveer Ahmad Wani, DySp Headquarter Showkat Rafiq Wani, SHO Pulwama Azim Iqbal Khan, Chairman Municipal Council Pulwama Bilal Ahmad Rather, and Nodal Officer Tobacco Free Kashmir at Directorate of Health & services Dr Mir Mushtaq.

Sports promoter & Social Activist Dr Rouf ur Rafiq hosted the felicitation ceremony. The huge event could not have been possible without the support of sponsors Looks “The complete Fashion Store”Kings Landing, KY Hyundai Pulwama, READ COFFEE CAFÉ, Care Dialysis Diagnostic Centre, Timber Land, Agency Pulwama, Alnoor Fruits, Dar Tent House, SCI PULWAMA, Malik Health Care & Scan Point, and Lions Den.
